June, 2008 Thursday June 5 - Last day of FLI for the school year ************************************************** 2nd Annual Bee on Board for Literacy Spelling Bee Fund-Raiser Friday, May 16th, 2008 Washtenaw Community College 7:00pm - 11:00pm What is the Spelling Bee? Not only will it be a fun-filled nail-biting event for adult members of our community, but “The Bee” will introduce the community to the FLI program and increase awareness of literacy issues that exist right here in Ann Arbor. Who competes in the Spelling Bee? Ann Arbor corporations, businesses, organizations, and non-profits will provide employee teams of three to compete in the Bee. The competition will be fierce but friendly as all but one team is eliminated. The winning team will receive a trophy to display for one year and bragging rights until the time comes to defend their title at the next competition. How can I get involved? Sponsorship levels range from $500 to $2,500 with each level receiving marketing benefits commensurate with the size of the contribution. All levels of sponsorships include a team entry and businesses are encouraged to enter multiple teams. Additional tickets are available for $35. Other support and in-kind donations will be greatly appreciated as well. All donations are tax-deductible. How do I enter a team? Click HERE to fill out an entry form. Can friends and co-workers come and watch the event? Absolutely!
